Where Did This Year Go?

As we get older, we all seem to agree that time just flies each year. How did we get to November already (and for those of you counting, just 55 days from Christmas)? Yikes! Time does seem to move more and more quickly for me with each passing year. Some of that might be because there is still so much I want to accomplish in my life. I have a bucket list that is a mile long. I have places I want to visit, things I want to learn, books I want to write… I want to fall in love and spend my life with a great guy. When “adventure” is your middle name, there is always something new to see, do and experience.

But for today, let’s not stress about how many shopping days are left until Christmas, or how long our bucket list is.  Let’s instead think back to one or two things we started out the year determined to do.

If you made resolutions, or woke up January 1st saying “this year will be different” and yet find that you haven’t made as much progress as you’d like, that’s okay. Breathe. Forgive yourself for being human. And then decide if it is still important to you.

If it is still important, then decide, right now, ONE thing you can do to move towards that goal. If it was to workout – then go put those tennis shoes by the door. If it was to eat more healthfully – then put some veggies and fruit in shopping cart this week. If it was to get more in touch with your spiritual side, then start the day off with 10 minutes of devotions or reflection. Whatever your one step is, it is not too late to start doing something that will move you towards that goal. Don’t wait two more months to re-state the goal this January… think how far along you’ll be by then if you start today!

I’d love to hear what your ONE step is that will move you towards your goal. Please feel free to share in the comment section. I believe in you!

Unlock the potential!

With audacious love,
